    Chase Brass and Copper Company, a leader in the brass rod industry, has an immediate opening for a Supply Chain Analyst at our Montpelier, Ohio facility.

    The Supply Chain Analyst will focus on analytical projects to reduce costs, increase inventory turns and improve efficiencies in the areas of supply chain, purchasing (direct and indirect materials), and logistics.   The role will work closely with individuals in supply chain, engineering, operations management, information systems and finance.

    The Supply Chain Analyst will also be responsible for becoming competent in supply chain and purchasing roles in order to backup positions (such as scheduling, logistics, and purchasing).

    The role will also be involved with the development of key performance metrics and systems to monitor and drive YOY continuous improvement objectives.   


    Core Accountabilities:

    • Supply chain analysis (i.e. inventory performance, scheduling performance, financial, logistics, and delivery performance analysis).
    • Capacity planning and optimization analysis.
    • Develop and execute projects to decrease costs and meet annual Company cost reduction goals
    • Develop performance metrics and track improvements for supply chain department.
    • Develop reporting to analyze sales and operations planning and forecasting processes.
    • Develop dashboards for management reporting.
    • Collaborate with IT department to investigate/implement more efficient processes and systems.
    • Supports supply chain department by backing up critical roles in scheduling, logistics, and procurement.


    Competencies and Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field required. MBA preferred.
    • Purchasing/supply chain experience in a manufacturing company, preferred.
    • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to work with all departments and suppliers.
    • Excellent computer skills, including excel (use of pivot tables, database tools, power pivot).
    • Experience with data visualization and dashboard reporting tools.
    • Strong analytical skills, including statistical, regression, and financial variance analysis.
    • Business analytics and decision science skills and coursework.
    • Strong data mining, interpretation and cleansing skills (knowledge of SQL or other tools a plus).
    • Experience with ERP system (such as Oracle, SAP, etc.).
