    Chase Brass and Copper Company, a leader in the brass rod industry, has an immediate opening for a Business Intelligence & Data Analytics Specialist at our Montpelier, Ohio facility.

     

    This role provides functional business knowledge and technical support to all Chase business units, partnering with manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and sales and marketing through developed and ad-hoc analysis/reports, including development and maintenance of underlying data tables to support their creation. This role also designs and programs new processes and dashboards.

     

    Responsibilities

    Core Accountabilities:

    • Supports partners through the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data using preferred BI platform
    • Designs and develops dashboards, cubes, analysis charts, reports, etc. to provide speed-to-data insight
    • Enhances the efficiency, automation, and accuracy of existing dashboards analytic charts, and reports
    • Works cross functionally on business solutions as directed to develop and deliver sophisticated analytic solutions that support strategic business initiatives
    • Follows best practices in data querying and manipulation to ensure data integrity
    • Effectively communicates information to technical and non-technical audiences
    • Supports business partners on creative analytical projects, including design of custom reports
    • Subject matter expert in all aspects relating to data collection and analysis for internal customers

    Qualifications

    Competencies and Qualifications:

     

    • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computers science, mathematics, statistics, or related field
    • Experience in data analytics or business intelligence is a plus
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and building data relationships to analyze and improve business needs are key to success in this role
    • Strong data programming, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Experience with current BI and Analytics tools, like OBIEE, Orbit, SplashBI, Tableau, Qlik and MS Excel
    • Proficiency to read and write SQL using SQL plus or TOAD
    • Strong customer service orientation
