    HIRING 2ND SHIFT PRODUCTION

     

    Very competitive compensation and benefits package, including:

    • Starting rate on 2nd shift is $16.43/hour... Top pay for General Labor is $22.73 plus shift premium. 

    This position is a union position; hired individuals will become part of the United Steel Workers Local 7248 after the 31st work day.

    Responsibilities

    Core Accountabilities

    • Tasks may include those similar to:
      • General housekeeping tasks – clean any area of Mill
      • Chopping scrap
      • Handle solid scrap
    • Occasionally operates fork lift to transport oil and trash to designated locations
    • Moves scrap to and from various locations
    • Maintains equipment and work are in a clean and orderly condition
    • Other duties as assigned

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds repetitively and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock.

     

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.

    Qualifications

     

    • High School diploma or GED
    • At least one year of previous related experience preferred
    • Must be able to successfully pass a physical aptitude test, drug screen, and criminal background check
