Wieland Small Tube Products is hiring for various Machine Operator positions on 2nd and 3rd shift.

2nd Shift: 3pm-11pm

3rd Shift: 11pm-7am

The Machine Operators will be responsible for operating their machine in a safe and efficient manner. Previous heavy industrial manufacturing background is required. 

Applicants for the position of Machine Operator should possess basic math skills. This includes the ability to perform simple calculations, measurements, and understand numerical information related to machine operation tasks

This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. 

Machine Operator Responsibilities:

Operators are expected to operate various heavy machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.
• Produces material within prescribed tolerances with focus on the “next customer” in a timely manner.
• Performs set-up after analyzing traveler ticket (production order sheets) getting tools and gages for making proper machine adjustments.
• Processes cut to length samples, and measures to check cut length and squareness of cut.
• Proportionately fills machine(s) with lube of proper mix, checks for burrs and replaces blades as necessary.
• Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine’s training evaluation form.
• Able to work overtime as business needs require.
• Cleans and returns removed tools.
• Attends meetings as required.
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma, GED, or other equivalent training as approved by Immediate Supervisor, Next Level Supervision, and Human Resources Department.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP’s.
• Demonstrates proficient knowledge utilizing measuring devices.
