Wieland is hiring an Electrical Engineer. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible to specify and implement automation, operator interfaces, and safety systems in support of manufacturing operations.   Proficiency with legacy and cutting-edge technologies to ensure that the Company is leveraging the most effective platforms for increased productivity, safety, and profitability. This role is located in Shelbyville, KY and will be fully on-site.

Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:

• Electrical, and software design of customized solutions including manufacturing automation and safety systems. Able to maintain project scope, schedules, and budgets, and prevent project creep.
• Support specifying, manufacturing, and validating of systems which include programming for hydraulics, pneumatics, servos, motor drives, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, digital and analog i/o, and robotics (ABB and Fanuc).
• Create documentation such as user manuals, programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• Specify, install, and maintain additional data acquisition, monitoring, and reporting solutions to provide accurate information to key stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and training to Maintenance and Production as needed.
• Act as liaison for Manufacturing and IT for critical infrastructure and processes.

Electrical Engineer Qualifications:

• 1-3 Years related job experience preferred, or an equivalent of combined education and experience.
• 2 + years of PLC experience with Siemens PLC experience preferred
• HMI programming experience and Siemens WinCC preferred
• 1+ years Auto CAD-Electrical experience preferred
• Must have knowledge of VFD drives (AC and DC)
• Must be highly computer literate in the maintenance of machine control systems software and upgrades.
• Microsoft SQL and database management knowledge is an added plus.
