Wieland is hiring a Director of HRIS & Compensation. The Director of HRIS & Compensation will be responsible for leading a team of HRIS and Compensation professionals who oversee business processes in North America.  As the subject matter expert, you will drive projects and provide leadership in the areas of HRIS and Compensation to all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.  This role is located in Louisville, KY with potential for a hybrid schedule. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (15-25% travel). 

Responsibilities

Director of HRIS & Compensation Responsibilities:

 

HRIS:

  • Partner with a global project team on the future state design and implementation of a new HCM, SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Develop a strategy to optimize the North America HR data and technology portfolio to meet workforce requirements, drive accuracy, and create a positive user experience.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual processes and partner with cross-functional leaders on solutions.
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR, and other departments to understand their needs and align HR operations to support the organization's goals.
  • Perform regular business process reviews and consistently monitor service delivery and standards to steer the HRIS and compensation teams toward best practices and continuous improvements in the system and processes.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in data management and security, HR technology, and HRIS applications to ensure compliance and best-in-class processes.
  • Provides strategic direction, leadership, and oversight to ensure that HR processes and systems including timekeeping, performance, compensation, and benefits are accurate, efficient, compliant, and aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Directly engages in the triage of complex operational issues, system configuration, data loads, etc. 

Compensation:

  • Lead strategic compensation programs and projects including annual compensation planning cycles, bonus processes, retention programs, M&A, etc
  • Assist in the short and long-term compensation strategy and execution, including, but not limited to job leveling, market pricing, career pathing, reward and recognition, incentive design, pay equity reviews, and others.
  • Consult on compensation issues such as job evaluation, FLSA exemption reviews, compensation analyses, total compensation reviews, and related matters.
  • Collaborate closely with HR leaders, business leaders, and other key stakeholders to provide recommendations on day-to-day basis, such as new hire offers, promotions, and job leveling.
  • Lead compensation design projects that require a broad understanding of compensation programs including job architecture and salary structures.
  • Oversee compensation benchmarking and participation in market surveys.
  • Design and deliver compensation training.
  • Ensure company compliance with federal, state, and local laws governing compensation practices.

Director of HRIS & Compensation Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial & Organizational Psychology, or other related field
  • 10+ years of progressive work in the HR field with experience in both broad-based compensation and HRIS.
  • 5+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, and/or Cornerstone a plus
  • Experience working in a global environment is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organization skills and follow-through, with the ability to prioritize your workload and balance concurrent projects.
  • Ability to analyze data, create, and share meaningful insights.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to drive consensus in global teams.
  • Innovative and naturally curious team player with skills to work in a fast-paced matrixed environment.
  • Exceptional accuracy and proven attention to detail; ability to handle confidential information.
