Wieland currently has an immediate need for a Tool & Die Technician to handle tasks associated with tooling maintenance, die set assembly, and modifications on stamping related processes - as well as performing preventative and predictive maintenance on these systems. This role will sit in Wieland's East Alton, IL facility. 

Starting Pay: $44.81

Schedule: Rotating/Swinging

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Works together with and/or leads the operating crew to minimize downtime and to maximize productivity
• Responsible for making the basic decisions on how a mechanical repair is to proceed and perform quality repairs the first time in a timely manner
• Work with the production team for constant improvement
• Perform administrative duties as assigned, including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system
• Assigned tasks associated with tooling maintenance, die set assembly, and modifications on stamping related processes - as well as performing preventative and predictive maintenance on these systems

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; 2 year college degree in Machine Shop preferred
• Minimum of five years industrial/maintenance machinist experience OR a four year apprenticeship certification (Machinist or Tool & Die Maker required)
• Experience in press repair and general equipment breakdown maintenance is preferred but not required
• Understanding of Predictive Maintenance and Preventative Maintenance practices is a plus
