Wieland is hiring a Bar Saw Operator. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bar Saw Operator. Candidates will focus on machine operation and product quality while also assisting with overall warehouse operations as needed.

Starting Pay:  $19.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• Duties and responsibilities include (but not limited to) the following:

  • Create and maintain a safe, organized, and clean working environment
  • Responsible for the set-up, process, and maintenance of Bar Saws
  • Saw cut bar into finished product at varying tolerances
  • Operate machinery in a safe manner to ensure quality product
  • Inspect material before and after operation for imperfections
  • Load and unload product from the machinery for processing
  • Assemble, rebuild, setup, maintain, and operate equipment
    • Forklifts, hand tools, etc.
  • Inspect inventory and product orders for accuracy
  • Report product discrepancies to management
  • Actively communicate with teammates
  • Operate forklifts to move material
  • Other Operations tasks as assigned

  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail (critical skill)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to communicate professionally with coworkers and management
  • Ability to work as part of a team and offer assistance to teammates when necessary
  • Ability to work shift work and occasional Saturday hours as required by the position
  • Ability to work in warehouse environment with varying temperatures
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to read a tape measure and calipers (critical skill)

   

  EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 4 years of machining experience (preferred)
  • Mechanical/maintenance skills a plus
  • Understanding of band saw controls (preferred)
  • Understanding of manufacturing industries
