Wieland is hiring a Utility. The Utility will be responsible for working safely while supporting shop floor functions to help streamline processes and allow for flexibility in the manufacturing process while following safety, operating and quality guidelines and instructions. This role is located in Montpelier, Ohio and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay:  $20 -22.50 per hour

Schedule: 4 days at 10 hour shifts 

UTILITY Responsibilities:

• Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build and maintain the proactive safety culture daily.
• Meet customers’ demand, following the Supply Chain Team’s schedule, by operating the packaging cell and ensuring a safe and clean working area.
• Utilize material handling equipment to unload/load trucks, move material, dump scrap and weigh material.
• Provide packaging support at the slug saw.
• Provide support to operators by moving material within the plant to help minimize downtime.
• Utilize the ERP system to accurately transact material within the facility.
• Meet or exceed the quality expectations of the customer as defined by the Engineering and Quality organizations by following the quality process
• Sort product for quality defects
• Participate in root cause analysis
• Meet or exceed financial targets by achieving operating performance targes such as yield and operating efficiency.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 and NSF standards.
• All other duties assigned by supervisor.

UTILITY Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Able to lift 30 pounds
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficient with basic computer skills and the ability to learn specific programs as required.
• Problem solving skills / critical thinker
• Must be reliable, responsible, dependable, and able to fulfill all job obligations.
• Ability to multi-task to support daily operations.
• Desire to learn and develop technical skills to keep current with changing manufacturing processes.
