Wieland is hiring a Metal Service Center Clerk. The Metal Service Center Clerk will be responsible for elements of getting bar stock to the customer including but not limited to inventory, cutting, packaging and shipping. . This role is located in Roseville, MI and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay: $20.25

Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Metal Service Center Clerk Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for packaging/crating of all bar stock shipments
2. Maintain a safe and clean work environment
3. Pulls bar-stock as needed for incoming orders
4. Responsible for cutting all production bars for lathe department
5. Operates saws including, but not limited to manual, automatic saw and plate saw
6. Puts incoming material into inventory and records pertinent data
7. Cuts materials for resale orders & production work orders
8. Oversees bar stock inventory to ensure accuracy
9. Provides cut and prepped materials as requested by lathe department
10. Reviews and report orders for weight discrepancies or errors
11. Utilize order management system for proper flow of shipment of products and keep deadlines
12. Loading and unloading of weekly mill flatbed truck
13. Manages adjustments of scrap material
14. Monitors level of supplies needed for crating department
15. Other duties as assigned

Metal Service Center Qualifications:

1. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
2. Ability to perform computations
3. Ability to work independently
4. Ability to make work related decisions based on deadlines and customer specs
5. Frequent walking throughout various areas of the office and plant
6. Occasional lifting and carrying -up to 40 pounds
7. Manual dexterity and repetitive movement of fingers and hands
