Wieland is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Engineer. The Electro-Mechanical Engineer will design, develop, implement, install, troubleshoot and maintain a broad range of electrical/electronic and mechanical systems and their components by focusing on safety, reliability, sustainability, quality and cost saving efforts. Implements the completion of projects and other tasks as assigned by the Engineering Manager. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. 

Responsibilities

Electro-Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Conceptual and detailed design of parts or equipment.
  • Obtain necessary parts to complete projects, ensure proper new stock or restocking of parts used.
  •  Assist in maintenance activities and troubleshooting when requested by Engineering Manager.
  • Create and maintain all documentation, CAD drawings and spare parts list for associated projects.
  • Participate in the actual implementation of projects and start-up/ troubleshooting of any equipment.
  • Look for continuous improvement efforts and innovation related toward safety, quality, efficiency or cost savings.
  • Assists others on any projects as assigned.

Electro-Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • CAD Package Certificate (Beneficial but, not required) or equivalent CAD experience.
  • Maintain safe work area and follow all Wieland safety procedures.
  • Proficient computer literacy with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams, Outlook, etc.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to lead a project meeting with deliverables of project, timelines and estimates through PowerPoint.
  • Effective implementation of project specifications, requisitions and all accompanying documentation.
  • Timeliness and thoroughness of troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Efficient and thorough record keeping.
  • Implementation of cost saving solutions.
  • Ensures that all present equipment and new installations are safe to operate and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Timely and cost effective completion of assignments with established timelines.
