Wieland is hiring a Tinning Operator. The Tinning Operator will be responsible for all tasks that support the production of material in our hot tin dip facility. This includes the processing, handling, and packaging of material as well as tasks associated with the operation of tinning line machines as determined by the leadership. This role is located in Carol Stream, IL and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $23.00 per hour
Schedule: 2pm - 10:30pm, Monday - Friday
Pay Schedule: Weekly
Tinning Operator Responsibilities:
• Responsible for performing all tasks safely and identifying hazards in the production environment.
• Responsible for being familiar with and adhering to all Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
• Responsible to wear proper PPE at all times as it relates to the JSA and company policy.
• Responsible for upholding any and all standards set forth by the management team.
• Responsible for the machine specific or situational duties as assigned by management.
• Responsible for processing assigned material safely and productively and in accordance with Quality Assurance standards as well as posted process controls and limits.
• Responsible for communicating with team members to facilitate the processing of assigned material.
Tinning Operator Qualifications:
• 2 years expierence in the use/operation of industrial machinery
• Certified to operate Sit Down forklifts
• Competent in the use of banders/hand tools
• Competent in basic math
• Competent with basic measuring equipment
• Ability to multitask in all areas of production
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications, posted notices, and QA Alerts.
• Commitment to established values and culture of Wieland.
• Full compliance with all Company Policies and Procedures, i.e., safety, attendance, dress code, etc.
