Wieland is hiring a Operations Specialist. The Operations Specialist will be responsibilites are to ensure production is efficient and meets the customer needs by working closely with the Sales, Quality, and Production teams, accessing customer requests to ensure manufacturing capabilities, developing and assign efficient operations routings to optimize Safety, Quality, Productivity, Delivery, and Cost, as well as adapting and maintaining process developments to assist continuous improvement. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.  

Operations Specialist Responsibilities:

• Work with customers and sales team throughout the quoting process and new product development
  • Review customer specifications and/or engineering drawings to determine feasibility
  • Effectively convey technical information to non-technical persons
  • Occasional drafting using AutoCAD
• Learn basic machine capabilities and processes throughout the entire mill
• Actively participate in raw material management
• Evaluate data analytics to support calculations and problem-solving
• Utilize SAP system to create products and routings
• Detailed and organized approach to maintaining updated processes through communication and continuous learning
• Facilitate communication among various team members and departments
  

Operations Specialist Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills and organization skills.
• High energy, data driven, and results oriented.
• Understanding of cross-functional teams.
• High level of detail-oriented workstyle.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong analytic skills
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• High level of technical expertise and interest in continuous learning.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Basic AutoCAD drafting skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
