Wieland is hiring a Crane/Pointer Operator. The crane/pointer operator will be responsible for set up and operation of a pointing machine to prepare stock for the Bench operation.  Performs the duties of loading, operating and unloading overhead crane to properly supply and remove tubing to production operations.  This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay:  $19.38/hour for 60-90 day training period, then $24.24/hour.

Schedule: Initially 1st shift, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM for training, then 2nd shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Pay Schedule: Weekly

Crane/Pointer Operator Responsibilities:

• Produces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the "next customer" in a timely manner.
• Performs the process of putting tubing through rinse, clean, soap, acid and/or bright dip operations using proper straps.
• Maintains accurate records by posting and recording information as needed on Traveler Tickets and/or daily production sheets.
• Sets up pointer machine to execute proper point on tubing for Bench operation.
• Works from information on point included on traveler ticket and as furnished by supervision to determine correct point size and length.
• Operates pointers as required.
• Operates overhead floor crane properly to supply and remove tubing to production operations as required.
• Loads and unloads gas anneal furnace and control heats and speeds on furnace.
• Cross-train in other areas as needed.
• Ability to work overtime as business needs require.

Crane/Pointer Operator Qualifications:

• Successful completion of Crane Safety training program.
• Successful vision screening exam.
• Lifting, pulling, pushing standing, squatting.
