Wieland is hiring a Secondary Operator. The Secondary Operator will be responsible for performing secondary operations and following set standards and company policies. Secondary operations include, but are not limited to the following: vibe operations, stenciling equipment, deburring, bagging/tagging and robotic cell support. This role is located in Lake Zurich, IL and will be fully on-site.
Starting Pay: $20
Pay Schedule: Weekly

Responsibilities:
• Operate manual and electric pallet jacks and overhead cranes
• Communicate with operators, supervisors and manager to share information
• Data entry in Vantage for tracking work orders
• Read and follow all inspection, routers, work instructions, packing instructions and understand MBP standard of operating to assure product is conforming to customer requirements
• Visually inspect product for defects
• Accurately count product and pack per router instructions
• Operator the vibe, floor cleaner, stenciling equipping, lapper and deburr parts efficiently
• Robotic cell support – loading raw material slugs and unloading finished goods
• Support the saw department as needed
• Participate in production department housekeeping
• Continuously model MBP’s Core Values
• Follow safety rules
• Work overtime when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to:
o Keeping work area clean and organized
o Ensure finished machined product is clean and burr free
Qualifications:
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good written and verbal communication
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Basic blueprint reading
• Basic understanding of GD&T
• Proper measuring techniques with a variety of gages
COURSEWORK OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop preferred
