Wieland is hiring a 357 Furnace Operator. The 357 Furnace Operator will be responsible for operating the Bright Anneal Furnace to obtain the proper specifications of hardness and/or grain. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay: $19.06/hr

Schedule:  3 PM to 11 PM, after training on 1st shift from 7 AM to 3 PM

Pay Schedule:  Weekly

357 Furnace Operator Responsibilities:

• Produces material within prescribed specification to break down or bright finish anneal tubing
• Performs Rockwell checks and records on the furnace annealing log
• Acquires and places furnace trays, etc.  Provides the appropriate tubing and load into the front of the furnace, and at the end of the furnace
• Performs purging of tubing as it enters furnace
• Completes Travel Tickets (or Production Sheets) of furnace production
• Set up and operate small Draw Benches as needed
• Operate floor cranes & pointers as needed
• Cleans and returns removed tools
• Attends meetings as required
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed
• Able to work overtime as business needs requires

357 Furnace Operator Qualifications:

• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP’s
• Successful completion of Powered Industrial Truck training
• Lifting
• Standing
• Pushing
• Pulling
• Bending
