Wieland is hiring a CNC Operator. The CNC Operator will be responsible for loading parts, performing setups, monitoring machine performance, and ensuring parts conform to specifications. This role is located in Pine Hall, NC and will be fully on-site. 

 

Starting Pay: Starting at $20

Schedule: Multiple shifts available

Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly

Responsibilities

CNC Operator Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC mills, or other equipment per established work instructions.
  • Load raw materials, run parts, and inspect parts to in-process inspection points and secure workpieces.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and assist with changeovers as required.
  • Monitor machine operations and make minor adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Detect and report malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions to programmers or supervisors.
  • Maintain daily production logs and records.
  • Quality & Inspection:Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process quality checks.
  • Verify conformance to specifications and document inspection results.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubrication.
  • Report tooling wear or machine maintenance needs promptly.
  • Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Comply with company, and customer requirements.

 

CNC Operator Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years CNC machine operation experience, or completion of a machinist training program.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Basic math and measurement skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work safely and promptly report any safety concerns.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Fanuc or Mazak controls.
  • Prior aerospace or precision machining experience.
  • Basic knowledge of G-code.
