Wieland is hiring a Material Handler. The Material Handler will be responsible to supply and remove tubing or supplies to and from production operations.  Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate.  This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site. 

Starting Pay: $19.06/hr

Schedule: 3 PM to 11 PM after 60-90 day training period, which is 7 AM to 3 PM 

Pay Schedule:  Weekly

Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Maintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as required.
• Maintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes.
• Interprets traveler tickets for information.  Pays special attention to appropriate material handling methods to avoid damaged material.
• Functions as a General Helper as needed.  Duties may include operating the Wire Brush machine, Expander machine, Rotary Straightener, Chamfer machine, Tumbling equipment.
• Assists with Large Level Winder, Saw helper, cleaning and testing, initializing color code
• Records and posts information on traveler tickets and daily production sheets.
• Maintains a neat and orderly work environment.
• Demonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine’s training evaluation form.
• Able to work overtime as business needs require.
• Cross-trains in other areas as needed

Material Handler Qualifications:

• Maintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine SOP’s.
• Successful completion of Powered Industrial Trucks training.
• Successful completion of Crane Safety training as prescribed by the Safety/HR Dept.
