Wieland employees embody our values - respect, ambition, reliability, diversity, optimism, and ownershipWe are looking for a Machine Operator I to join our facility in Montpelier OH this role will be responsible for producing parts to the production schedule while following safety, operating and quality guidelines and instructions.This position will be 6pm-6amMachine Operator Responsibilities:- Work safely and promote the safety of those working around you; help build a proactive safety culture- Meet Forgeworks' customers' demand by operating the forging, cleaning, and machining equipment including:- Job setup – tool assembly and installation- Running the job following JSWPs and quality processes- Clean up and preparation for the next job- Meet or exceed the quality expectations of the customer as defined by the Engineering and Quality organizations by following the quality process- Periodic part inspection- Participate in root cause analysis- Meet or exceed financial targets by achieving operating performance targets such as yield and operating efficiency- Additional Accountabilities- Read and interpret dimensional layouts when needed- Adhere to ISO 9001 and NSF standards- Perform operator based preventative maintenance.- Shipping, receiving and utility work- Process audits- Sorting product needed for shipment

Wieland Chase is a leading brass manufacturer in North America. Wieland Chase became part of the strong global Wieland Group with a continued commitment to safety, quality and customer service. Pay: $33.40Hours: 3p-11p - Determine causes of breakdown or failure in electrical or mechanical equipment.  Repairs, adjusts, modifies and services all mill equipment.  Works as directed on projects with project manager.  Works in any area on site as directed while adhering to proper safety protocol.- Determines sequence and process flow for production equipment- Inspect mill equipment and determine necessary electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs required- Procures necessary drawings and manuals and interprets same to insure proper functioning of equipment- Determine cause of mill equipment breakdown or failure and proceed to make necessary repairs- Plans details of working procedure and determine material or replacement needs along with supervisor arranges personnel to perform the necessary work- Analyzes all types of circuits, wiring diagrams, etc., as required to install, repair, calibrate or otherwise service all types of mill electronic devices and systems- Assembles, inspects, adjusts, repairs or replaces faulty electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or mechanical parts- Fabricate parts to print using welders, cutting torch, hand tools as necessary- Adjusts mill equipment to assure proper operating characteristics- Observes safety regulations, such as locking out equipment when necessary and maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition- Take training classes as directed to keep up to date on improved technology- May oversee, train and evaluate apprentices

Inspecting incoming scrap, billet, coil rod samples and finished product for alloy verification and conformance to specifications.
